Get Creative and Get Cash

Some time ago I did a YouTube study on income opportunities. For 15 days (maybe 20; I tried to get up to a full month but after this long of time I found similarities) I would spend 30 to 60 minutes looking at videos all having to do with money, making money and of which most were about; income opportunities. I especially liked the videos about going around neighborhoods, seeing “scrap” in people’s yards and driveways, asking for it, getting it free and then selling it to scrap yards and also the videos about getting things from thrift stores and selling them on eBay; very creative.

Today I want to talk about being creative and creating your own business. Who knows? Maybe you’ll come up with a system, a routine or even invent something that you could manufacture and sell!

A question that I try to remember when I’m anywhere (meaning “anywhere”) walking down a grocery or hardware aisle, looking at cartoons or Facebook, listening to friends, I ask myself a question that I learned from Jack Canfield who is the co-author of the Chicken Soup for the Soul books: “What is the opportunity?”

Recently I saw this in a Facebook post: A floating aquarium and thought, “Why didn’t I think of that?”

Ask yourself:

What inspires me, and list from 3 to 5 things?

When was the last time I was inspired?

What triggered the inspiration?

What did I do/create from my inspiration?

Your assignment (if you choose to do so) is to take some real time to answer the above questions. Then do a search “How to make money” on YouTube (I purposely keep this “non-specific” as to what areas to make money so I get it “all”).

Finally, remember to ask yourself, “What is the opportunity” several times in your day and write down thoughts immediately on 3x5 cards or a pocket notebook when inspiration happens.

A few years ago

I was heavily in debt...
